We have known our good friends Binnie and Roger since 2006. They are a great couple that were previously full time cruisers and have lived in their current property for the last 12 years. They are looking for a retired couple

 

“Would you like to live in Panama at the edge of the Caribbean Sea? For no rent except to pay for your own electric and telephone? We are an American married couple, in our “young” early 70’s, have  built a 2-bedroom house on our land where we have lived for 10 years in our “dream house” (which we also built), on Panama’s Costa Arriba (also called Costa de Oro). We are looking for a retired couple  to live on our land; to maintain a presence here, besides ourselves, help care for our pets when we leave our property, which, with its ocean-front, jungle gardens and substantial acreage, can’t be left to itself and small staff.  We also want these people to do occasional cooking and run some errands. 
Requirements: Fluent English and a working grasp of Spanish and willingness to learn it; a car would be helpful, though there is regular bus service. A Panamanian residency visa, or elegibility and willingness to obtain one. Age 55-65; good health and physical shape (not obese, non-smoking). MUST BE HONEST!! Must be financially secure enough not to want to run a business from our place (We will not allow that!). We want this couple to love nature and to care enough about the local ecology to want to help us protect what we can. We’d require 3 verifiable references; a resume would be helpful. 
The 2-bedroom house has a full kitchen/dining/livingroom; bathroom with large shower, flush toilet, vanity with lavatory, large closet and cupboards, laundry. It’s air-conditioned and  furnished with “Spoiled-Gringo” accouterments, including satellite Internet.  From the front door, see the Caribbean Sea; back porch opens onto garden-pond with small fish.  And there’s more…but we’d want to meet you, have you stay a week or more in one of our guest apartments (which we don’t rent!).
