SV Simpatica, our home as we circumnavigate the globe, is a Catana 471, a French made luxury catamaran built in 2001. Simpatica is well cared for and a proven blue water sailing yacht.

Loaded with equipment needed for circumnavigating the globe and comfort for everyone aboard whilst sailing and island hopping.

Private air conditioned cabins, water maker, solar panels, 5 KW generator, fridge, freezer, microwave, 110 volt AC, 2 sea kayaks, fishing gear, 9′ sailing dingy, 12′ inflatable hard bottom dingy, satellite phone for emergency calls, on board sailmail for emergency email, dive compressor and dive tanks, hookah rig, kneeboard, fully equipped galley, comprehensive navigation system, CD/DVD player with surround sound inside and out with TV, lots of great music aboard, huge trampoline with shaded cover, new safety equipment, deck shower for fresh water rinse off, board games.

Captain Louis,  originally from Texas, is a qualified 100 Ton Yacht Master who feels at home on the sea, having cruised full time through the Bahama Islands, Cuba, Mexico, Honduras Bay Islands, San Blas Islands Panama, Columbia, 15 Panama Canal transits, Las Perlas Islands, Pacific coast Panama, Ecuador, traveled up the Tuira River visiting the Embera Indians in the Darien Jungle of Panama, Galapagos Islands, 2 Pacific crossings to the Tuamutos, Society Islands, Cook Islands, Kingdom of Tonga to the Fiji Islands which is where he met Julie in 2007.

Julie, an Aussie gal, loves to discover local produce from around the world and to provide people with the opportunity to enjoy healthy local cuisine. Julie is inspired by the possibility of connecting communities and traditional cultures around the world and supports a sustainable development project in Africa. Visit www.afadu.com
